Cookies


Today we made cookies/biscuits from a base recipe that has been around for a long time. My mother has cooked this recipe since I was a girl and probably even longer.    

Instead of adding the chocolate chips from the recipe linked above we used our imaginations and joined several combinations of flavours.  What a variety of flavours.  

Our flavours included 
Hazelnut, choc chip, hundreds and thousands and sultana 
Vanilla, coconut, sultana and apricot 
peanut butter, choc chip, apricot, and walnut 
Double chocolate chip and coconut. 

Then... 
From the base recipe, we also added two eggs and some milk and created a
coconut, vanilla and apricot cake with walnuts and choc chips. 

Time-saving hints:
1. Make the dough roll it into a log for cutting or roll into balls and freeze.  
    When you require some fresh biscuits take out how many you need and cook them to order.  

2.  You could cook the biscuits and freeze them after cooking. 
     just defrost before eating.  

3. Create a whole variety of flavours and freeze them you will never get bored with the same.
