Vegetarian Spring Rolls

Vegetarian Spring Rolls

This week, September 24-28, in New Zealand we celebrated Chinese Language Week.  As part of this language week, we held morning tea with foods from China.  Our adult learners group decided to participate by making something for this morning tea.  So this week we made Vegetarian spring rolls.   We did cheat and bought the spring roll wrappers from an Asian food market, but please forgive us as we had time restraints.

If you have been reading our blog then you will know that we always adapt the recipe.  I was unable to source the mushrooms that were used in the original recipe, so  we just used what I could find at the supermarket.  Have fun making these and leave a comment down below if you try making them for yourselves.  We would love to hear about your experience.

  2. Dear adult learners,

It is cool that you celebrated Chinese New year by making spring rolls. I like the way you cheated but that's okay we all cheat sometimes. How long did it take you to make the spring rolls?

    1. In cooking cheating is called adapting the recipe. The recipe was linked in blue so that you too can try to make it.

    1. Oh yeah, it was wonderful and I am not a vegetarian fan.
I hope your parents make it for you or you give it a try yourself.

  6. Hi B9 Students we bought the spring roll pastry from a shop. It is very tricky making the pastry and easier to buy it.
